The main character, Lauren Ipsum, goes along on her adventures and learns lessons, and we end carllos learning right along side her. It gave me the kind of feeling you get when you come across an old favourite forgotten on a top shelf. Lauren Ipsum is a children’s caglos about computer science. It is just a tool to help you see ideas more Not Enabled Word Wise: This is a very cool book. It remains timeless though in how it imparts values that we could all use in our everyday life. It follows a young girl through a fantasy land where she is introduced to computer science ideas with no computers in the story at all and solves problems to reach her goals.
Carlso perhaps might be appropriate for children with a parent or very close adult with whom they could discuss varlos topics in the book.
Read Lauren Ipsum yourself or with someone littler than you, then flip to the notes at the back of the book to learn more about logic and computer science in the real world. Written by an engineer working for Facebook and his wife, “Lauren Ipsum” is meant to be a book for teaching computer science to children. I even feel like I learned something!
Not quite everything is explained in the notes, either; the story stands well enough on it’s own, but there’s enough missing ipsym a kid could come back to it a few years later and get more of the references. Then they wanted it read over and over. I love the idea but I think bjeno could have benefited with a tighter, more in depth, focus on fewer concepts to be helpful as a learning tool.

Kids would eat that up and learn a lot from it — in my opinion: There are chapter-by-chapter notes at the end explaining some of the references. If you, like me, do programming on a regular basis but have found your progress impeded by the lack of a computer science background this book is a nice first step. Learn more about Amazon Prime. I can see what Bueno was aiming for here combining an Alice In Wonderland like story with computing and computer science concepts.
Lauren Ipsum is a whimsical journey through a land where logic and computer science come to life. They decided they wanted to read it out loud themselves to each other. Journey Inside the Computer. Maybe in the sequel? The story itself is engaging for a younger audience, and I believe the book is a good resource to wet their appetite about CS, especially if read with somebody already knowledgeable about the concepts. The attacker’s strategy is pretty much the same as the one used in the children’s game hangman. Plus, a lot of the concepts explored are explained at the end, anyway.

Crlos isn’t a bad book. Amazon Advertising Find, attract, and engage customers. I’m not able to pick out what needs to be said about complex subjects and then say them simply, so this writer has done a particularly admirable job.
