I didn’t live the life in the book, just watched those around me do so. Like many drug tales, Rush slips occasionally into the melodramatic. The book is well written and the pace is fast, thrilling, and each page is printed with plenty of suspense. They did not even send her to the police academy until later. But it is a pretty good read, as they say, and at least you will learn how to do heroin, a recipe for meth, how to beat a lie detector and one version of the source of Steely Dan’s name.
No wozencratf or quizzes yet. Anyone who wozencarft good fiction. The novel drags a little while Jim and Kristen split up and Kristen ponders her life, which she does until the FBI comes around and asks her to think really hard. Which is probably why the movie rights were sold for a million bucks before it was even finished. Add it to your IMDbPage. The stars of Aquaman formed a special bond off-screen that let them push the limits of their rivalry once they were in costume. It knocked me off my feet more than the movie did, yet those who read see a movie as their eyes scan each word. A true story involving narcotics officers who became addicted and corrupted.
Still, the movie only covers about half the book, so it was interesting to continue reading what happens to characters with whom the reader becomes attached. Addicts take themselves exceedingly seriously.
