The Hobbycnc kit came with 14 feet of 6 wire, 22 gauge, more is needed for this machine. Use jggo control to limit the display of threads to those newer than the specified time frame. If you can get ACME or trapezoidal threaded rod I would definitely go with that instead of the quarter inch all-threaded rod for the lead screw.

Spinning the rod with a drill no freeplay is felt, I can however distort the gantry with hand loading at various points. Logic Trace on Screen. Definitely cabinet grade birch ply, some parts like the router mount I would go aluminum if you can.
