North Archer is buttoned-up, self-contained and a damn good lawyer. These minions being, among a couple of other unfortunate souls, the three main characters of the book. Trust Me on This. The Spinster and the Rake. Andie is a trademark Crusie heroine: One character is named “Bun. Date with a Devil. The focus of this story is Andie’s heart being won over by little Alice although frankly it just seems to “happen” – one minute they’re just two strange, distant children; the next Andie can’t live without them.
Some of the dialog was believable and some just fodder for groans.

I was so into this story! I love Jennifer Crusie’s books. I loved the characters, the plot, I enjoyed the way the authors let the reader know both what the characters were saying AND thinking! This one goes out on a limb and is even more fun than the others I’ve listened to.

Crusle Nadine, It does have some fun moments, so if you can find it cheap, you might enjoy it as a night-in read, or on the beach. Which is so much like Shamu. I hear voices; you hear dogs.

Does anyone know which author wrote which characters? This was a much better read in flow and coherence than “The Unfortunate Miss Fortunes”. Got the job done though. Lani Diane Rich Goodreads Author. I would have given it one star except it did manage to make me laugh aloud in several rcusie.

Maybe this is why I liked Shar so much. It’s actually a very fun and funny read.
My only excuse is that Im a sucker for vibrant covers and the use of photoshop brushes why yes, I do have another LBD book sitting on my shelf purchased for exactly the same reasons.
