The problem is that this is a poorly scanned version of the old edition which I took from the library to compare. But I really feel like you’ll benefit more from spending a good few hours working out the details for yourself.

The book is a great example of a horrible math text. On the other hand, sometimes explanations are very technical yet not rigorous.

Good book but the print quality is not so good. Think very hard about what I’ve written, and try to convince yourself that it is true. I can understand why the question was posted here.
