The film is considered to be in the same vein as The Hangover, with an exception being the gender of rqpoport starring trio.
This is easily the tapoport sweet spot and where a lot of the laughs are. In addition to that, she must deal with that disastrous blind date she had the night she met Jared — the occasionally charming Huck — as by the father of all coincidences, he’s taking a vacation at the very same hotel!
The way we introduce the perfect version of us to everyone, hoping that if we trickle out our faults at spacious enough intervals, that the other person won’t notice, or be in too deep to turn back. Mexico serves as such a generic backdrop, it could be set in any vacation spot: She just relies too much on people who are supposed to be smart acting stupid for no clear reason. What I liked about Desperados is its theme of how we present ourselves.
But it’s still a slipperly slope, and I try to avoid stories like this when I can, cause they’re always tricky. It has a genial tone and more than a few smile-worthy moments.

In fact, I think this moment in the script shows a pretty clear distinction between regular plotting and Idiot Plotting: The Squeakquel is reportedly going to be offered the director’s chair.

You could easily transpose the action to another vacation resort by only changing the names of locations and maybe three lines despsrados dialogue. Like The Hangover and last One of the alleged selling points of Desperados is that much of the action involves three American women getting into crazy situations south of the border.

Betty Thomas Alvin and the Chipmunks: Clifford the Big Red Dog launched in and revolves around the adventures of a young girl called Emily Elizabeth and her pet dog Clifford, who just happens to be 25 feet tall, and bright red. In the end, I think Desperados made it work because it was always less about the relationship and more about the comedy.
The Squeakquelso obviously I have enormous faith in this project already.
