Its really impressive how some authors could write a whole story in just a few pages. The series included a gallery tour, panel discussions, lectures and performances, with events held in four installments over the course of 12 months. Everthing built on that. Proulx set the story up so that the majority of readers would sympathize with the cowboys, but I was lead to feel proulc the supporting cast of characters who were all effected by these two men’s decision of continuing a forbidden, clandestine, taboo relationship.
The father refuses, preferring to have them interred in a family plot. And I still have no idea if my emotional response could be explained by a beautiful and unique prose of Annie Proulx or an outstanding narra I adore the movie, but I have never considered to read a bdokeback.
