It’s a great entry, but if you struggle with reading, you may find his way of describing it unapproachable. When I was using this, I was able to work up to four words at a time with a speed of words per minute. Speed-reading is now big business, and people who want to get ahead in life are adopting the technique to further their careers, as well as enjoy the sense of power, and freedom that reading faster provides. Spreeder is my favorite. I think there is a better way to describe or in some cases, I don’t agree with what precisely one has to do.

I don’t want to learn how to eat my meal in 30 seconds because I LOVE food and I don’t want to miss the nuances of flavor, even if it means missing out on other foods.
Its uses are so diverse and effective that I feel this review and a mere 5 stars will never do it justice.

But it was hard for me to have the self discipline to do all the exercises, and keep timing myself to measure my progress. When you see this, it typically means that the writer isn’t a speed reader and doesn’t know what they are talking rreading. Not the only book I used though. I like the idea of this book as there are some books I have avoided as I feel I would lose interest if they took too long to complete. I didn’t make it all the way through this book but got some useful tips spee on.
Kennedy was well known for being able to read 1, words per minute. As a starting point, I read at the speed of an average college student. Spreeder makes it easy to change settings like words petrr minute and word chunk size.

Instead of stressing complete comprehension, it stresses quick reading thru of material while active organizing how the material is arranged and structured. As far as I know, this is the premier text for speed-reading. Instead of hearing yoru voice in yoru head and going slowly and trying to remember and read eveyrhting, now reading to me is just setting a purpose, reading through a text many times and recalling afterwards while writing out what you read and understand.
It is all down to the individual at the end of breakthrouggh day — it just depends how badly you want to succeed. Your brain learns how to read and comprehend words as units, without subvocalizing them. That is a habit that is hard to break, but when worked at, can increase brrakthrough reading speed dramatically. May 13, Jeff rated it it was amazing.
