This story felt a bit rushed and wasn’t as good as the previous two novels, the insta lo Third novel in Michele Bardsley ‘s Broken Heart serieswhich focuses on a supernatural community, starting with I’m the Vampire, That’s Why.
I can’t wait to read the others in the Broken Heart series, and then I’m going for her entire backlist. But, Patsy figures out she’s supposed to rule the vampires Patsy Donahue is just your normal beautician in Broken Heart, Oklahoma. Anne Rice and Becket. The characters are funny and lovable, the vvampire perfect and the subject — well, honey, you don’t get any better than vampires and werewolves. Her primary concern is her son Wilson – typical jerk son who smoked pot and has a grudge the size of a house on his shoulders.
He is described as beautiful, and he really is.
But my maternal instincts are sill alive and kicking, so no one better mess with my bbecause and blood. When she gets outside she finds another man down – torn up just as bad as her guard.
She doesn’t have to worry about bills since the consortium paid off everyone’s mortgages and pretty much ownes the whole town.

I continued to give it a whirl since that was the premise of the book club-light reading. She is at the point of sidelining in werewolf grooming to make ends meet.
Patsy, forty-year-old single mom and hair stylist, is a vampire now. The last half of the book completely ruined the first half. People just kept popping up because sais was convenient for the ‘Swiss Cheese’ story. One dragon wants her powers, and another dragon carries an evil ancient who wants the Queen dead. It was actually kinda heartbreaking to see him suffering so much and Patsy.
This is another fast and fun read. He hates everyone it seems.

She has her hands full figuring out how to deal with her new lack of clients now that there are so few humans in Broken Heart, and with her rebellious sixteen-year-old son, Wilson. But her maternal instinct is still alive and kicking. I wanted more about the Ancients, more about the prophecy, just more in general that would have made the story better. As if adding on that she’s a single mother! Oh another thing, Lorcan’s stories.

Since the moment we met Gabriel I fell in love and I know I always say that, but there is something sexy about a halfbreed.
Jun 21, Sara rated it it was ok. I did not enjoy this one as much as the previous books. There are no discussion topics on this book yet. This could be easily accomplished with a two or three sentence paragraph. And she’s able to make enough to keep a roof over her teenaged son’s head, food on the table well, for him, anyway and clothes on their backs.

I am just mad. Other books in the series. Well, what the hell? The town of Broken Heart, Oklahoma is not your average town.
She is taken by the “others” to bardsly studied, she seems to have collected some oyur the dragons powers and her vampire savior did as well. Ok i’ll shush now XD I also adored seeing the characters that we have come to love and the continuation of the storyline of Broken Heart, OK.
The two lust birds keep lusting and everything marches on to a torched ending. Being the mother of a teenager creates enough stress to kill a person.
