Google search

WordPress (oh how I love thee) has a feature where you can see what people google to get to your page. My favorite one is one I saw today:

“should we give kids crips and chips?”

Sounds like a delicious combo to me. : )

Ah, the great “crips and chips” debate. Second only, I believe, to the “hamantaschen or latkes” debate.

seriously - huh? Are we talking US-style chips, or UK-style? I’m a fan of both - and obviously a fan of crips - but I’d like to know what we’re giving to The Kids before I sign on.

    :)

Hey Girly- I love your new blog- adorable. It’s always a treat to hear from you!

I think it’s most likely that someone left an “s” out of “crisps”. But amusing nonetheless :)

(I believe, from context of usage in TV programmes etc, that what you call “chips” are what we in the UK call “crisps”, whereas you would think of what we call “chips” as being rather fat fries. I’m not sure what, if anything, the word “crisps” means in the US… ;)

You can do that with WordPress? That’s so cool. And the results yielded such an interesting question. :)

I just signed up with WordPress to get my own blog, and it’s a little disorientating for me, to say the least. It has so many features I’m not used to!

VENUS!! glad you are starting a wordpress blog— let me know if you need any help figuring stuff out. it takes longer to learn than blogger but hey, if you figured out lj (which i still have no idea how to use a lot of their features) i’m sure wordpress will come easily to you.

shiva. i’m lost on the chips/crisps/fat fries thing. so potato chips in the UK are crisps and what we think of UK chips are really fat french fries? that sure explains the google search then : )

Stacey! : Thanks for being willing to help me with my (new! yay!) WordPress blog. Right now I’m just fiddling with settings and trying to learn what’s what. Although I did want to ask you - do you mind if I list your blog on my links page?
